The increase in confirmed cases with Covid-19 persists in the Guantánamo municipality, a territory that reports at the end of yesterday, January 31, 118 people who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
In this situation, the Municipal Defense Council (CDM) evaluates new measures of greater rigor that guarantee physical distancing in the queues, as well as the restriction of movement from 8 at night and until 5 in the morning, according to the Provincial Defense Council in which violations are observed, especially in the communities.
For two days the disinfection of the streets of the city has been carried out, a process in which irregularities that threaten its quality have been detected and that has generated many complaints from people, even from social networks.
Another of the issues discussed was associated with the existence of patients who refuse to enter isolation centers because they do not have someone to leave the care of their minor children who, in some cases, have a physical or mental disability. In this sense, the agreement was aimed at finding an immediate solution that allows compliance with the Health protocol without causing major complications.
Yucleidy Ramírez Ramírez, President of the CDM insisted on maintaining permanent monitoring of social networks. Scenario in which dissatisfactions are reflected, some of them associated with weaknesses that still persist in Primary Health Care. The also 1st Party Secretary in the municipality emphasized the need to report negative PCRs, as soon as possible, to people who are in home isolation.
At the meeting, it was also reported that the regulated sale of sweet and salty cookies begins today through the supply books. The strategy aims to guarantee that both products reach each family nucleus and will be carried out in the wineries located in the Popular Councils.
