The municipal meeting on Local Development, closed in recent hours, showed a just concern - and occupation - for the progress of investments in the San Justo Popular Council, where hydraulic improvements are undertaken that, according to Henry Rodríguez Terrero, President of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power (AMPP), will be complemented with the paving of Aguilera Street, the main artery of that community that in its current unprivileged conditions makes it difficult to access interurban transport.
Therefore, the Hydraulic Resources collective that works on this investment was exhorted "not to open more holes than those that can be closed", so that they do not interfere with the installation of pipes and connections, and the telephone cabinet (with equipment of poles and cables ), an important work of a provincial nature that is expected to conclude among the actions for the 150th Anniversary of the granting of the title of Villa to the city of Guantánamo, which will benefit in this branch of communications with the advances of fixed telephony in Cuatro Caminos, and the Sur Hospital and Sur Isleta Popular Councils.
Yucleidis Ramírez Ramírez, First Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party explained to the institutions involved in the program on the anniversary of December 1, that this is a date that “we cannot allow it to be closer to us, without advancing in the materialization of several works of the dozens included in the ambitious - despite COVID-19 - program for these festivities ". Days before the first day of the last month of the year, the birthplace (5 West and 5 North) of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Reserve Brigadier General Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez, will be converted into an information center that will bear the name of the Guantanamero, the first Latin American to ascend into outer space, a feat carried out just over 40 years ago, along with cosmonaut Yuri Romanenko.
They were also at this meeting, at the headquarters of the AMPP, where the representative of the Electric Company reported on the future lighting of the roadway of the Barceló, Confluentes and Jaibo bridges, and the Rotunda of the Reparto Caribe, Carlos Martínez Turro, Coordinator of Objectives and Programs in the Governing Council, Idaliena Diaz Casamayor, Vice President of the AMPP and Mayor Yuni Silvente Calderín.
