On the night of Tuesday, November 1, a surprise control was carried out in several bakeries in the city, chaired by Henry Rodríguez Terrero, President of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Guantánamo, accompanied by Osmel Quintero Leyva, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Administration Council, Eneldis Matos Romero, Deputy Director of the Provincial Food Company and two inspectors from the Provincial Directorate of Inspection and Supervision.
As a result of this exercise, violations were detected such as: the presence of personnel from outside the facility, productions above what was planned, lack of hygiene in production areas, among other infractions for which fines of 150 to 8 thousand pesos were applied, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
"The administrator who does not guarantee an adequate service to the people will have to stop being an administrator," said the President, who thus complied with and followed up on the agreements adopted at the last XXXIV ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, where quality of the production and commercialization of bread generated a wide debate.
Precisely as a continuation of said action, Henry Rodríguez Terrero, carried out an analysis this Wednesday with the administrators of the visited bakeries. In this meeting participated: Idaliena Diaz Casamayor, Vice President of the Assembly, Osmel Quintero Leyva, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Administration Council, as well as Director and members of the Board of Directors of the Food Company in the municipality.
The main indication is to apply administrative measures to offenders. Something that must materialize so that they feel the weight of their behavior, because according to Idaliena Diaz Casamayor, Vice President of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, “In previous controls we have detected the same problems and the administrators are still there. Nothing has happened, even though we know how much is at stake."
Referring directly to the main cadres of the Company, Rodríguez Terrero said: “The population has to feel that you have a coherent work system that can definitively solve the bread problem. It's their duty and they have to do it."
