Among the most debated issues in the XXXV ordinary session corresponding to the XVII Mandate Period of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Guantanamo, held this Friday, November 18, at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee theater, was the report presented by the Permanent Commission of Hydraulics, Energy and Investments on the commercialization of liquefied gas in the territory.
In this context, it was mentioned that the UEB Guantánamo Fuel Marketing Territorial Division has 7 points of sale located in different demarcations of the popular councils, with a total of 47,633 customers.
A total of 990 cylinders arrive daily in the province, of which an average of 140 are distributed for each point in the municipality. Sometimes, during the week, two arrive in the same day, which gives the coverage of distributing up to 240 cylinders for each point, but this depends on the availability of fuel at the Santiago de Cuba plant, which is where the cylinders are packaged. of 20 kg for all the eastern provinces.
On this matter, delegates expressed their considerations in relation to the sales system implemented, as well as the need to increase the points of sale in the city and contracts with natural persons. Likewise, representatives of Cupet mentioned the punitive measures that have been applied to workers who have violated what is established in the provision of service, the current limitations that make it impossible to create new contracts and the actions that are carried out to finalize the purchase-sale process at through the virtual platforms Enzona and Transfermóvil.
Henry Rodríguez Terrero, President of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Guantánamo, considered it appropriate to point out that “the organizational measures are not going to give more balitas, but they will give more satisfaction. The population understands when it is explained to them, therefore, there must always be timely information. At each point there is a government official, and they are there to organize and inform the population; apparently that is not working quite right, we have to review it. There are shared criteria of the population in relation to the sales system. If the car arrived at 11 in the morning, the point cannot close at 5 in the afternoon, Cupet must make decisions in this regard. The population must be informed of the number of cylinders received. Why do not they do it? The number of cylinders cannot be by points, but by clients, maybe 140 are left in some and 180 in another; that the CAM should review and make decisions. All the points do not work in the same way, in all of them there is not the same level of satisfaction. The organizational measures must not create more unrest in Guantánamo”.
