Waldo Mendoza, adopted son from Guantánamo, presented this Wednesday at the regular November meeting of the Municipal Administration Council the plan and assurances for the new edition of the Chocolate con Café Festival, which will take place from December 1 to 4 in tribute to the 152nd anniversary of the granting of the Title of Villa to Guantánamo and the 50th anniversary of the Nueva Trova.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, with the presence of Henry Rodríguez Terrero, President of the AMPP and the Mayor, Rolando Cantillo Hernández, some details of the event's program were known. Stand out among the novelties the troubadour and soccer meeting, the concerts at the Van Troi stadium, and the presence of the Duo Iris, Buena Fe, Isaac Delgado, Los Señores de Humor, Karamba, Los Guaches from Santiago de Cuba and foreign artists from Spain, Italy, Mexico, as well as ambassadors from Italy and the European Union.
In addition, the new actors of the economy will participate and donations will be received from possible co-sponsors, since part of the expenses of the event will be paid from the Festival's own income. “This is an initiative born of the love of the people and for the people. It is an attraction in which the country's great musical bands will participate, animated by the desire to promote Cuban culture and adore the Guantanamo culture," Waldo Mendoza said.

Other topics analyzed were related to confronting illegalities and social indiscipline, compliance with the measures to treat the Environmental Strategy; execution of actions for the management of new sources of employment, the preliminary results of the process of re-registration of self-employed workers; the sale of the school uniform, requests for subsidies; and the confrontation with social indiscipline in the Cadeca, product price violations, as well as in the provision of transport services through cars, motorcycles and pedicabs.
The CAM's pronouncement was energetic on each point, recognizing the weaknesses and strengths to transform management in order to improve attention to the people, with that in mind other issues were reviewed in depth such as the accountability of the UEB Alimentaria and compliance with the approaches of the voters, the status of the Company's Computerization policy and the behavior of the SAF.
